MANCHESTER TOWN HALL

Manchester Town Hall is a majestic building built in Victorian Gothic revival style. The Town Hall houses Manchester city's government and administrative functions.
It is a monument to civic pride rising 286 feet above Albert Square below. It was completed by architect Alfred Waterhouse in 1877. The Great Hall features 12 imposing murals by Ford Madox Brown .

As filming is forbidden in the Palace of Westminster , Manchester Town Hall is frequently used in British political dramatisations.

The Town Hall was listed as a Grade I listed building on February 25, 1952

MANCHESTER PALACE THEATRE

The Palace Theatre Manchester opened in 1891 is one of the main theatres in Manchester.
The theatre has seen performances from some of the biggest names in the entertainment business including Danny Kaye, Gracie Fields, Judy Garland, Noel Coward and Laurel and Hardy. The theatre now shows major musical performances and touring West End shows including Cats and Miss Saigon
